On behalf of the Autism Society of America-Santa Barbara Chapter we would like to thank Sharon Blewis of the Vintners Association of Santa Barbara County for helping us to raise over $2,000 for our local families at the recent Cambridge Center Conference. The event was a huge success, attracting over 300 participants to the Central Coast to raise awareness of evidence-based practices in autism.

Attendees included parents, teachers, speech and language pathologists, regional center staff members, as well as clinicians from as far away as the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Ms. Blewis spent many hours organizing and getting donations of fine local wines and gifts for our silent auction. In the end, over 34 local wineries and businesses lent their support to this cause. 

The Coast Hills Foundation, the Community Bank of Lompoc, and the Allan Hancock College Foundation each made generous financial contributions that were instrumental in bringing such a world-class event to our community. Those of us who live, love and work with people on the autism spectrum really appreciate the support.
